[00:00:01 – 00:00:34] fobo is a new acronym that has been coined by the world economic Forum we all probably know foro know fear of missing out that drives a lot of marketing campaigns but the word fobo is a relatively new acronym and uh it stands for fear of obsolesence I know it's a difficult word uh what it means is basic that it's the notion that we [00:00:30 – 00:01:01] will become irrelevant at some point what does that mean you may ask so imagine waking up one day and finding your job has been automated overnight by intelligent machines using AI then you discover that even the carer you dreamed of pursuing next has already [00:00:58 – 00:01:29] been Mastered by AI quickly more and more human domains once thought impossible to replicate art music emotion fall prey to advancing algorithms until all uniquely human talent and purpose dwindles in the face of superior robotic [00:01:25 – 00:01:58] counterparts soon your very existence becomes trivial and unnecessary sounds terrifying doesn't it but also if if you're being a little honest it's a little odd you know why this sounds a little odd because none of the above was written by a human AI wrote all this up you know cloud. AI responded to a [00:01:55 – 00:02:27] human prompt for an intro about fobo which I read to you the first paragraph and a refined prompt asking for it to be more creative and add some suspense to it but foro they say is a real feeling nevertheless you know a survey that world economic Forum took 1if of workers in the United States are worried really that technology will make their jobs [00:02:24 – 00:02:57] obsolete according to uh Gallup poll in September 2023 you know the next five years employees estimate that 44% of worker skills will be disrupted meaning upskilling and lifelong learning are now more essential says the future of jobs report published by them in 2023 but there is a silver lining to [00:02:53 – 00:03:25] it the skills most in demand are going to be those that AI can't re place including analytical thinking empathy and active listening and Leadership and social influence you know we live in a very disruptive technological time where every day we wake up there is some news that artificial intelligence has taken [00:03:22 – 00:03:53] over the world that it has taken over all spheres of our life and somehow in the future it's going to control all those areas of our life well today we are going to see from God's word how we have a God who is bigger than anything AI ever has or will be and it is not any artificial [00:03:50 – 00:04:21] intelligence that forms the backdrop of our human existence it is an essential characteristic of God that we are going to look at today that is behind your life and my life accomplishing something beautiful you know there are two ways in which you and I can live our life in this world one way to live our life is [00:04:15 – 00:04:46] to think that I am in control of my life and I will work all things and figure my life out based on that and now maybe we have to say there's an another way that those who think AI is in control of their lives but the Bible says that there is God who is the only one in actually in control of our lives [00:04:44 – 00:05:15] and we're going to look at that through the life of another character in The Bible the life of Joseph we are doing this Walk Through the Bible uh the Book of Genesis we saw from creation we began to talk about how God created this world then we started looking at how God's Redemption began with this Covenant with Abraham and the [00:05:12 – 00:05:42] life of Abraham occupies a major part of Genesis and now we are going to come to this last chapter in the book of Genesis to look at the life of Joseph whose life story also forms a substantial only other substantial part of the Book of Genesis and In this passage that was read to us in the very final closing words of this book that Moses was [00:05:40 – 00:06:12] writing to the Israelites he closes with what happens at the end of their forefather Joseph and this chapter begins with the reaction of the brothers of Joseph and Jo Joseph to what has happened in their life and you can see in both of their life experiences two radical different [00:06:07 – 00:06:40] ways in which people can live their life just before this happened their father Jacob had died and they had all gone and buried him in Israel and they had come back and now a new fear grips the brothers we all know the story of what happened to Joseph J you know all of these brothers became very jealous of Joseph who was loved by his father and [00:06:37 – 00:07:07] they wanted to kill him you know his Joseph's younger brother Benjamin saves his life by telling them to leave Joseph in a pit and he leaves and before he comes they have sold him off to a slave and slaughtered an animal and dipped his clothes and blood to convince everyone he is dead and they now after several years are meeting Joseph and they were [00:07:05 – 00:07:35] terrified that Joseph is going to come after them which he does not do and they thought that he was being nice to them because their father was alive but now since the father is gone they fear they're going to see Joseph's True Colors because they thought Joseph is going to be just like them you know Joseph's life didn't get better from the time he he was in the [00:07:31 – 00:08:02] pit he ends up with his life being totally transformed it was never going to be the same again he was never going to be able to run back home every evening into the loving arms of his father to feel his father's Embrace he was never going to be able to have this time of family dinner sitting with all his brothers and enjoying the company of his [00:07:57 – 00:08:28] father he's now sold as a slave a son became a slave overnight and was on his way to being sold to 44 where God blesses him and once again he gets subject to another crisis we all know the story of what happens to Joseph in puar's house he becomes falsely [00:08:25 – 00:08:56] accused of trying to have an inappropriate relation ship with his master's wife and ends up in the prison so from the pit he goes to the prison and from there God somehow raises him and takes him to the Pharaoh and he ends up being becoming the governor but still you read in Genesis how he groans [00:08:53 – 00:09:26] about missing his family especially his father we all know very well what that feeling isn't it when we have left our louded ones in one country and you move to another country Egypt was in those days the land of the Egyptian dream people would go there if there was a famine in the world because they thought that's a place where they can do something big with their lives so if there is anyone who can [00:09:21 – 00:09:51] complain about life if there is anyone who could really be angry about life and people and God it would be Joseph isn't it he has a righteous reason to be angry at his brothers he could have actually used the powers he had to get Justice for them and he would have been perfectly okay he could have gotten his [00:09:50 – 00:10:21] name cleared with potifar but he does none of those things that you and I would normally think is what someone who has been wronged by people again and again not just random people someone who has been wronged by his own family someone who has been wronged by people they lived with would have to do but you see Joseph seems to have had a very different worldview that [00:10:18 – 00:10:50] was informed by one key characteristic of God that he seems to have understood and he talks about that to us in verse 19 he tells his brothers as for you you meant evil against me but God meant it for good to bring it about that many people should be kept alive as they are today you know the one thing that [00:10:47 – 00:11:18] encouraged Joseph to not retaliate but to really display the things that he did was what we call as the Providence of God you know the word Providence is not something we use today in contemporary language or in our daily conversations but it is important to understand what we mean by this aspect of God which is so critical for our daily [00:11:15 – 00:11:46] living you know the Providence of God refers to his ongoing Sovereign purposeful governance over all areas of our life ensuring that everything that happens whether individually in your life or my life or collectively in the nation of individuals or nations or even over a period of time in human history that all of these things are going [00:11:43 – 00:12:15] towards One Singular trajectory according to his will and his plan and his purposes for his glory that is what is meant by the Providence of God something we don't hear a lot and so we think it doesn't exist but this is what God's Providence is and how does this happen how can this happen God's Providence actually works [00:12:13 – 00:12:46] because first of all God created all things things did not happen by chance you if you believe that you are a product of evolution and chance then you really have to think there is no trajectory to your life and you have to do everything in your power to fix yourself you have to fight and suppress those who try to come after you but God says no he since he created [00:12:42 – 00:13:13] you and I he actually created each of us with a purpose in life you were created with a purpose you were created with a purpose I was created with a purpose he's a Creator so right in creation he builds in his purpose into each one of us not only is he a Creator he is infinitely knowledgeable he has infinite for knowledge the John Calvin says this about God he says for you and I we have [00:13:11 – 00:13:44] a past we have a present we have a future but for God everything the past present and future is a Perpetual present something our human Minds can't grapple with he sees all things behind before above below everything that's what what Calvin calls as the absolute forn knowledge of God so since God created all things and he knows all [00:13:39 – 00:14:10] things he also Wills all things he has a will which is free and it's it's it's he can he basically can do whatever he wants but he uses his power to only do what he wants to accomplish a plan and a purpose he has for Redemptive history and for your life and my [00:14:05 – 00:14:36] life and he does that using his power using his goodness using his mercy and all of this in the end is so that he can derive Glory you know God's Providence means God as the creator of all things who knows all things and who Wills all things preserves [00:14:33 – 00:15:03] governs and conquers with all aspects of our life that's why the Bible we hear it says God says not even a hair will fall without his knowledge every hair in your head is numbered you know Westminster Confession of Faith chapter 5 has the most suent definition of this it is quite hard to follow and I I'm totally I get it if you don't understand it but I just wanted to [00:15:02 – 00:15:34] read it for us so you can later on go and look it up it says God the creator of all things that uphold direct dispose and govern all creatures actions and things from the greatest even to the least by his most wise and holy Providence according to his infallible knowledge and the free and immutable counsel of his will own will will to the [00:15:30 – 00:16:02] praise of the glory of his wisdom power Justice goodness and mercy that's the most suent definition you can get on the Providence of God now why is it important to understand this where can you and I experience or see God's Providence at work now first of all God's Providence works right in our [00:15:57 – 00:16:28] birth and we can see that in the life of Joseph you know Joseph's father's name if we have to remind ourselves was Jacob and you know what the name meant was a deceiver Jacob was a deceiver who also ended up getting deceived in the end he wanted to marry Rachel but ended up marrying [00:16:25 – 00:16:55] Leah and God initially did not grow Grant children to Jacob and Rachel so he ends up having children with Leah and then over frustration with Rachel's servants and then back again with Leah you can read about the whole uh episode in Genesis Chapter 30 and finally it says God showed mercy and opened Rachel's womb and Joseph was born [00:16:53 – 00:17:26] as a son of Promise his birth was not an accident there are several things that that happened God was doing so many things in the lives of so many people including his father and his mother but Joseph was born it looked as though he was not going to be born isn't it all of us have very unique birth stories you know as mothers when you go through a pregnancy when a child is born [00:17:23 – 00:17:54] it's nothing short of an extraordinary Miracle you know I I remember when I I heard this that my mother was sharing that when she conceived me my father did not want to have me she he wanted her to have me aborted and my mother resisted that and because of that I am born and I am here today so I none of us should take the fact that we are born as an accident or something that's irrelevant [00:17:52 – 00:18:22] it is God's Providence protecting you and me to even be born in this world so God's Providence works right at our birth God's Providence Works in our family see Joseph if you think you have a dysfunctional family just ask Joseph he has the world's most dysfunctional family the dysfunctionality starts right [00:18:19 – 00:18:50] with his parents you know he has his dad who loves him exclusively more than all his other kids he shows favoritism you know side tip to parents please don't show favoritism to your children if you do that that's a bonus Point again but by doing that he ended up hurting everybody he hurt his other children who thought his parents don't [00:18:48 – 00:19:18] love them their parents don't love them he ended up hurting Joseph too is because of his favoritism it kindled their jealousy and they ended up trying to get rid of his son but God still protected Joseph in all of this and we'll come to that to the end to see how God's Providence turns all these things around and God's Providence also works in our calling and our [00:19:15 – 00:19:47] carrier and our work Joseph right from when he was very young had a gift the simple gift was interpreting dreams never changed that's what he did all through his life probably got better and was interpreting bigger dreams and he used this wherever we went God has blessed each one of us not only did he create us uniquely he has given each one of us a gift natural gift and when we come to [00:19:44 – 00:20:15] him he gives us a spiritual gift and we are all equally significant and valuable in God's eyes isn't it I since I was a I was a kid I I enjoyed speaking public speaking came very naturally to me nothing to be proud of but I was terrible in coding there was just one coding class I took and I hated it from my gods so I'm very grateful that I am here and you are there I just heard last week couple of [00:20:14 – 00:20:44] people sharing that they are terrified of public speaking and one of them actually fainted when they were asked to speak in public I have no idea how that feels but I'm pretty sure if I'm put in your seed I will fail if you ask me to quote something you see God's Providence is so beautiful in how he has wired us that it's working in our calling in our giftedness not only that we live in a [00:20:42 – 00:21:12] fallen world people hurt us all the time isn't it and and God's Providence protects us even from people's sins you know how his own Brothers tried to kill him God protected him from that he was sold to some unknown slave owners and ended up up uh with pipar where God not just protected him he sustained him he blessed him he elevated him and then he ends up getting wrongly accused by Piper's wife and pipar would have [00:21:10 – 00:21:43] normally killed someone like that again God's Providence Works in protecting him at every step God was bigger than the sinfulness of others and that was God's Providence at work were sin again God's Providence was at work over those in power you know the officials and Pharaoh you know he gave him favor by changing the heart of pipar you know if you wanted to have favor in [00:21:39 – 00:22:09] your place of work God can do that he finally found favor from the heart of the Pharaoh himself you know God is bigger than your boss or your employer or the job market to there's nothing to fear because his Providence is at work and so it can be a very calming thing for us and finally God's Providence even over nature you know they had the [00:22:06 – 00:22:37] world's largest famine that affected almost the entire Known World at that time but God used even that for something else because there was something bigger going on he used that to reunite Joseph's family and protect somebody for him but all of these seem like different pieces of the puzzle isn't [00:22:34 – 00:23:07] it if you take a puzzle box and throw it out on the floor if you just take one piece and if that piece is trying to make sense of itself it's impossible without it knowing what are the other pieces around it and sometimes that happens to us in one snapshot of our life when we go through a low when we go through a loss when we go through pain when we go through suffering if we do not understand the Providence of God we we tend to reduce everything [00:23:04 – 00:23:36] about us and God to just that one puzzle peace not knowing that God's actually doing a lot more things around you and I that we don't have visibility over that in the end it will all fall into place know John Flavel wrote a wonderful book I would strongly encourage you to read it it's called The Mystery of Providence it's a Puritan paper B and he has this beautiful quote uh he says if you want to understand the [00:23:33 – 00:24:03] Providence of God it is like the Hebrew alphabets you know the Hebrew language like Arabic and other languages are read from right to left said if you want to understand how God's Providence has worked in your life you have to start from the end and go back to the beginning but if you're just taking one snapshot you would not understand it but Joseph was able to connect all these [00:23:59 – 00:24:31] dos and he gives them an answer that is so profound he tells them that he saw that there was God's bigger plan and purpose that was bigger than himself or his life he said God allowed me to come here to preserve many people that was the Insight that helped [00:24:27 – 00:24:59] Joseph to respond differently he saw that God's purpose God is doing something big in Redemptive history he has promised to his father and his grandfathers that he's going to make them a great nation and he has made several covenants with them and Joseph knew that this covenantal God cannot walk back on his promises and if this promise has to come through he's going [00:24:55 – 00:25:26] to have to protect us his children so Joseph says I came here to preserve you my dear brothers and your families because that is you are very critical not because you are great or awesome or wonderful but because you are essential for God to reveal his Redemptive plan in human history and why is this so in important [00:25:23 – 00:25:56] as you and I read this it probably doesn't do anything to us isn't it yes so what it's it's not a great deal but remember when the Israelites are reading this before entering Canaan and that's the reason Moses writes This Book of Genesis they were going to be ex ex inspired to know what happened all these Israelites who are [00:25:53 – 00:26:25] now reading this are a huge Nation we saw last week 60 600,000 men two to 3 million of them they are looking back and seeing if God wanted to destroy the nation of Israel it's easier to destroy someone when you are smaller and fewer than when you become larger and mightier God could have easily wiped away all of them if Joseph was killed and if the [00:26:20 – 00:26:50] rest of his family were dead in a famine and before they are entering the promised land as they have so many questions and fears and anxieties in life Moses is writing them to remind them you know what happened to your forefather Joseph who should have been dead and buried long ago and and the rest of you would not even have been born God's Providence was at [00:26:47 – 00:27:22] work if God's Providence work in your forefather Joseph if it protected them sustained them and and raised Joseph who was your forefather to even rule over the pharaoh who ended up ruling over you and I ended up showing you once again that I am bigger than that Pharaoh by drawing you out you can have the same experience [00:27:17 – 00:27:50] too you can trust and enter the promised land because I'm a covenantal God I never go back on my Covenant and you know why what will accomplish my Covenant is my Providence you can seek to imitate the faith of Joseph but now in contrast if you look at the brothers of Joseph they represent a life sometimes [00:27:46 – 00:28:20] many of us can identify with we default to the brothers of Joseph without having this big picture idea of who God is without understanding the Providence of God that is at work thought that they had to fix everything about their life if a if if a crisis comes they have to jump and use all their skills and techniques they know to fix that you see how the response of their [00:28:16 – 00:28:48] behavior is you see in their response there's deceit they just so self-absorbed and self- focused and they're thinking only about self-preservation there's absolute lack of trust in God there's fear there's tremendous fear and purposelessness in their lives because they don't know or trust that there is a personal God who cares about them behind their creation so they think they have [00:28:45 – 00:29:18] to fight and get everything that they need they don't even love their father because they think their father loves only their brother they don't even live their brother because they think he is God and everything from his father they live purposeless lives as Shepherds wandering from one place to another and just going wherever they can find food for their sheep and for thems to take care of their immediate [00:29:15 – 00:29:48] needs they're terrified of a a naal natural Calamity a famine strikes they hit the panic button oh what do we do where do we go which country to move rather than seeking God they want to find food in another country they're terrified of those in power because they didn't know who Joseph was they couldn't recognize him they were thinking what's going to happen that they'll be thought as spies and be killed and then they have what we read in this [00:29:45 – 00:30:16] chapter of one fighting one sin with another covering up lying using deceit says verse 16 onwards you see the downward spiral of a life that's lived in absolute independence of God says so they sent a message to Joseph verse 16 saying your father gave this command before he died say to Joseph please forgive the transgressions of your brothers and their sin because they did [00:30:13 – 00:30:43] Evil to you and now please forgive the transgression of the Servants of the god of your father wow there's so many problems with these things now they're doing six things here first of all this is a classic Mediterranean culture and perhaps an Asian cultural response if you have a problem with someone you don't go tell them right so in some Asian cultures even now if they have a conflict they will send somebody else to [00:30:41 – 00:31:13] go and tell you that they have a conflict with you so that's what they do they send a message instead of first going directly because they are afraid and something like this had happened a little earlier in their own father's life Jacob had a problem with Esau and he sends a message first separated by several layers of people and they somehow in a way you see history is repeating itself [00:31:11 – 00:31:41] here and then they end up in manipulation and deceit they tell Joseph your father as though he was not their father too and thirdly as far as we read in the Bible there is no record of Jacob actually having a conversation like this with his sons all other conversations are recorded for us in meticulous detail and commentators say that it is highly [00:31:39 – 00:32:09] unlikely that Jacob even said this because Jacob did not even know the full extent of what they originally did to Joseph for him to feel this way so there's ambiguity about that and there is a high possibility now they are just trying to lie to get their way out of the situation to their brother who is in a position of power and they just flattering him they they are using there are four Hebrew words that talk about Sin and [00:32:07 – 00:32:39] transgression and they use three out of the four of them to kind of say they're really sorry and maybe they really Weare only now that they are guilty and it hits them what happened to them and they are imploring Joseph they're saying act like the god of your father Jacob wow you know and after Joseph breaks down we see here Joseph wept when they spoke to him this is The Messengers when Joseph hears The [00:32:36 – 00:33:07] Messengers he breaks down then they also go number six and fall at his feet ironically fulfilling the dream the very dream that Joseph told them was going to happen and it's getting fulfilled you know if we like live life thinking there is no God or thinking there is a God who is not so powerful or there is a God who doesn't [00:33:04 – 00:33:35] exercise his Providence to govern and accomplish his plans and purposes for our life this is how our life will be some of us even when we do know this God we tend to gravitate to the situation isn't it and now you look at Joseph's response to suffering verse 19 says but Joseph said to themo not fear for am I in the place of God As for you you meant evil against [00:33:32 – 00:34:03] me but God meant it for good to bring it about that many people should be kept alive as they are today so do not fear I will provide for you and your little ones thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them since Joseph believed in the Providence of God his response is so different and what was the central aspect or Reason why Joseph was convinced and believed in [00:34:01 – 00:34:33] God's Providence he says the central thing he says is what you meant evil against me God meant it for good and the question arises for us isn't it how can God do something good when I am just experienced this loss in my life how can God do something good when I'm going through this terrible sickness in my life how can God do something good when this coworker or even my own wife [00:34:31 – 00:35:03] or husband or children are hurting me like this in my life how can God do something good when I know that even tomorrow my Visa might get reworked or I might lose my job and I might have to get shipped out of this country it's so real isn't it how can we know that God is going to be good Joseph says you can know that God is good and and he has seen this how did Joseph know [00:34:59 – 00:35:31] that God was actually good in his life well he tasted God's Providence in his birth as we saw that Joseph saw the hand of God Joseph tasted and saw that something good came even out of his broken dysfunctional family isn't it through all this pain and after years of suffering and wondering what happens this Dysfunctional Family actually comes together [00:35:28 – 00:36:00] there is Real Love they have a feast they have a proper dinner or a feast around the table with the father and all the children all the dysfunctionality is gone and something good has come out of it isn't it so if you are thinking you have a dysfunctional family God's saying you know I'm going to redeem everything everything will turn out for good and I'm giving you an Evidence of that right [00:35:55 – 00:36:27] here God can redeem any broken family and what good can come out of all the pains and and when people are hurting us and are sinful he says God Joseph has experienced tasted in his own life that despite the Brokenness and hurts that others tried to hurt him God used every single one of them to elevate him and move him one step closer to his plans and purpose as long as he [00:36:24 – 00:36:56] surrendered and and what good can come out of a situation where you have powerful people over your life rulers and authorities and Kings who may sound terrifying by their actions Joseph said he experienced nothing but good God gave him Grace in the eyes of pipar Grace in the eyes of pharaoh from being in a pit he's now in a palace what more good can come out of you that and go God's Providence in his [00:36:53 – 00:37:24] calling the what very gifting that he had which God brought him into the trouble in the first place you remember when he shared his dream about how his he saw all of them falling prostrate before him and then he goes to Piper's house and gets thrown into the prison and when the B Baker and the cup Bearer come and share the dream what do you [00:37:22 – 00:37:54] think was Joseph's response I'm thinking he's thinking oh here comes another dream I'm probably going to get into bigger trouble isn't it but when he just was faithful and doing what God gave him to do God used those dreams to do something wonderful and great purposes and God's Providence over nature how can anything good come out of a famine for the entire [00:37:48 – 00:38:20] world well God used him as the person to be the solution to the greatest family saving not only his family's life saving an entire nation and above all the nation of Israel so God can continue to do and move along his Redemptive purposes and because he trusts in God's Providence it's important to see what [00:38:17 – 00:38:47] his response overall he refuses to take revenge he sees the bigger picture and above all he responds with compassion and love to the very people who hurt him the most you know he says he wept as they read the message because he had already forgiven them and not just that he shows his not just his love for God but his love for [00:38:45 – 00:39:15] his brothers and his family he says verse 24 I am about to die but God will surely take care of you and bring you up from this land to the land which he promised on oath to Abraham to Isaac ISAC and to Jacob that sums the essence of the faith of Joseph and for the Israelites who are between the promised land and Egypt how encouraging would this have [00:39:12 – 00:39:44] been if God allowed suffering and pain in the life of our forefather Joseph and he came out of it not just strong and he he didn't come out of it as a victim isn't it that's what we tend to do when we go through life's problems you know oh I have a a dysfunctional family oh people have been hurting me all my life oh my job is such a problem and We complain day in and day out because we love embracing the victim [00:39:42 – 00:40:12] mindset and get into that self-pity you see none of that in Joseph's life he displays the more than conqueror mindset because he believed in a big God he believed in a god whose Providence was doing something wonderful not just for himself but for his kingdom he's not a victim but he's now the governor the nation one of the largest nations of the world that [00:40:08 – 00:40:39] oppressed him so Israelites Moses was thinking will take heart to know that if God delivered Joseph from the pit and took him to the Palace that he will deliver them too and give their enemies over them he was is able to tra God's hand and show how God works all things for our [00:40:36 – 00:41:08] good our life my dear friends we are just like the Israelites isn't it between our life of Slavery to sin and our life of being with Jesus forever in eternity but in this in between time our life is not left to chance or world powers or rulers or authorities anyone or anything no one or nothing has more power to affect or do anything to US [00:41:05 – 00:41:38] unless the Providence of God allows that to happens including our own sinfulness and that's why Paul is able to say neither sin nor suffering nor death nor pain nothing shall separate us from the love of God we are more than conquerors through him who loved us and we need to know this Divine Providence Israel it will help us navigate life's challenges it will help us to deal with [00:41:33 – 00:42:05] our past traumas it will help us to respond like Joseph did to unfair treatments it will help us to deal with our own sinfulness and the sinfulness of others and the story doesn't end in the Book of Genesis it goes on and on and on till it comes to someone who Bears a striking resemblance to [00:42:00 – 00:42:33] Joseph but is just bigger and that was Jesus you know Joseph when he was in the pit was rescued when he was abandoned by his brothers for dead you know both Joseph and Jesus were betrayed by their very own Joseph was betrayed by his brothers Jesus was was betrayed and rejected by [00:42:30 – 00:43:02] Israel Joseph was stripped and thrown into the pit and Jesus was stripped and nailed on the cross Joseph was sold for 20 shekels of silver by his brothers Jesus was sold for 30 shekels of silver by none other than his disciple who had just the night before ate bread and broke bread with him Joseph was falsely accused by Piper's wife Jesus was falsely accused [00:42:58 – 00:43:29] by the very people whom he came to save but Jesus is greater than Joseph isn't it Joseph could only save his family and his Nation but Jesus taking all our Brokenness and sinfulness on him saved all of us for now and for eternity Joseph was just rescued from the pit he lived a few years he he was [00:43:27 – 00:43:58] was dead and they had to take his bones back to bury but Jesus went through death and he rose again and he lives physically uh lives forever now to give us eternal life and that is for you and me my dear friends we can be comforted in knowing that every hair in our head is numbered we can be comforted in knowing [00:43:55 – 00:44:27] like how Joseph embraced his brothers when they came to him he did not wait for them to say I am sorry he didn't even want that sorry he's like the father in The Prodigal Son story he was just waiting to run and embrace his son Jesus is longing for you and I to run into his arms today he forgives our self centeredness if we are lived Our Lives selfishly like the brothers we can seek [00:44:24 – 00:44:59] his forgiveness he wants us to move from a victim mindset to a child of God mindset trusting in the Providence of God that he will work all things together for good even if you do not understand it now he wants us to trust in God's timing if you are in a time of pain and suffering don't be discouraged take heart that your heavenly father is watching over you be assured that God [00:44:53 – 00:45:24] will use that for your good someday and more importantly forgive those who have wronged you if you are withholding forgiveness especially from someone who's near to you in your own family for a long time release them today as Christ forgive you and seek to live a greater purpose to connect with that giftedness that God [00:45:23 – 00:45:55] has given you to see how you can use that to serve others and Humanity rather than just to make ends meet and if you are living in a situation where you are fearing what's going to happen next with your life or your boss or or the rulers of this world remember that God is bigger than all of them and his Providence will work all [00:45:50 – 00:45:55] things for our good shall we pray
